Shubman Gill

Born on 8^th September 1999, Shubman Gill is an Indian cricketer who is a right-handed top-order batsman playing for Punjab in domestic cricket and Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy against Bengal and made his international debut for India in January 2019. He was also selected in India's Under-19 squad as the vice-captain of the team for the 2018 U-19 World Cup where he played a crucial role in India's fourth world title victory and became the Player of the Tournament of the season.

Some of his major career achievements:

• Shubman was the leading run-scorer for India in the 2018 U-19 Cricket World Cup with 372 runs. International Cricket Council (ICC) adjudged him as the rising star of the squad during the tournament.
• He became the youngest cricketer for an Indian squad to score a double century with 204 runs in a first-class match against West Indies A in August 2019.
• In IPL 2019, he was entitled as the Emerging Player of the Tournament.
• In November 2019, Shubman surpassed Virat Kohli's record, becoming the youngest cricketer to lead in the Deodhar Trophy (2019–20). Shubman was 20 years and 57 days old when he captained the India C team.
