Shruti Kurien

Born on 28 March 1983, Shruti Kurien is an international badminton player from India who played in women's doubles team. Shruti has represented India in various national and international badminton tournaments including South Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Along with her doubles partner Jwala Gutta, she bagged the National Women's Doubles Championship titles in 2000 and 2002–2008.

Here are some of her career achievements:

• Along with her doubles partner Jwala Gutta, Shruti won two gold medals at 2004 & 2006 South Asian Games
• Secured a bronze medal in the mixed team event at 2006 Commonwealth Games
• Claimed a gold medal in women's doubles event with Jwala Gutta at 2008 Bulgarian Open
• Bagged two gold medals in women's doubles & women's team event at 2010 South Asian Games
• In the women's doubles team with Jwala Gutta, Shruti claimed six gold medals at 2004 Syed Modi India International, 2006 Sri Lanka Satellite, 2007 Cyprus International, 2007 Pakistan International, 2007 Tata Open India International and 2008 Nepal International
• In the mixed doubles team with Tarun Kona, Shruti won a silver medal at 2009 Syed Modi India Open.
