Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce

Born on 27th December 1986, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is a much-publicized Jamaican Track and Field sprinter who predominantly competes in 100m sprint. She is the first Caribbean woman to clinch a gold medal in 100m Olympic event (the feat she achieved in 2008).

Her Achievements:-

• Gold medal in 100m event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics as well as World Athletics Final that took place in Stuttgart
• One gold (200m) and two silver medals (200m and 4x100m relay) at the 2012 London Olympics
• One silver (4×100m relay) and a bronze medal (100m) at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
• Two gold medals in 100m and 4x100m relay at the World Championship of 2009, held in Berlin.
• Appointed the first UNICEF National Goodwill Ambassador for Jamaica in 2010.
• Entitled as the IAAF World Athlete of the Year in 2013
• Fraser is the only sprinter to become world champion in the 100 meters for 4 times (2009, 2013, 2015 and 2019).
• In 2013, Fraser became the first female runner to clinch gold medals in the 100 m, 200 m and 4×100 meter in a single World Championship, and also the first woman to hold the world titles in 60 m, 100 m, 200 m and 4×100-meter relay, at the same time.
• At the age of 32, Fraser became the oldest woman and second mother in the history to win a gold medal in 100 meters at the 2019 Doha World Championships.
