Shane Warne

Born on 13th September 1969, Shane Warne is a former Australian cricketer. He is regarded as one of the best bowlers in the history of cricket. With his exceptional bowling skills, Shane has given his vital contribution to the Australian cricket team to blow many competitions away.

• Shane Warne holds the record of taking most wickets (96) in Test matches in a calendar year.
• Shane also holds a record for scoring most runs in Test cricket without scoring a century and is the first bowler to take 600 wickets in cricket history.
• In 2007, a Test series between Australia and Shri Lanka was named as Warne-Muralitharan Trophy in the honor of both the cricketers.
• He is the only spin bowler who has been selected as “Wisden Cricketers of the Century” in 2000.
• Warne has taken 708 international Test wickets and is second to Shri Lankan cricketer Muralitharan.
