The Warne–Muralitharan Trophy is awarded to the winning team of the Sri Lanka-Australia Test series. The trophy has been given to the winners, since the 2007-08 season of the Test series. The Warne–Muralitharan Trophy pays tribute to the 25th anniversary of Australia–Sri Lanka Test cricket. The first tournament was held from 2007 in Australia and won by the host team. Australia is the most successful team in the series with three titles. The Warne–Muralitharan trophy is the latest addition to the series of trophies named after former players. Michael Hussey (Australia) holds the record for most runs (994) whereas Rangana Herath (Sri Lanka) holds the record for most wickets (56).
