Retief Goosen

Retief Goosen was born on 3rd February 1969. He is a professional golfer from South Africa who has twice dominated the U.S. Open championship and is often termed as the 'Iceman' for his calm and cozy playing style. Goosen is the seven-time champion of the PGA Tour and fourteen-time winner of the European Tour.

• Winner of the 1996 Slaley Hall Northumberland Challenge, held in England
• Bagged the 1997 Alfred Dunhill Cup, held in Scotland
• Emerged Champion at 2001 U. S. Open, held in Oklahoma
• Won the 2001 Scottish Open Championship at Loch Lomond
• Honoured as the 'Player of the Month' in June 2001
• Honoured with the European Tour 'Order of Merit' and the 'Player of the Year' at the European Tour awards ceremony, in 2001. The following year, Goosen had again honoured with the Order of Merit.
• Emerged victorious at 2004 Tour Championship (PGA Tour), held in Atlanta, Georgia
• Bagged his 2nd and last U. S. Open in 2004, held in Shinnecock Hills, New York
• Claimed the PGA Championship title in 2004 after defeating Tiger Woods
• Won the Commercialbank Qatar Masters in 2007
• Emerged victorious at the Iskandar Johor Open in 2008
• Clinched the title of Africa Open Golf Challenge in 2009
