Ravichandran Ashwin

Born on 17th September 1986, Ravichandran Ashwin is a professional Indian cricketer. Known for his exceptional bowling skills, he has achieved numerous accolades in his on-going career.

• Ravichandran Ashwin is the fastest Indian bowler who has taken 50, 100, 150 and 200 wickets in Test cricket.
• Ashwin is the only Indian cricketer and the fastest in the world to grab 6 "Man of the Series" Awards in just 36 Test Matches. Besides this, he is the 3rd fastest cricketer to take 20 'five-wicket hauls'.
• In 2016, he became one of the three Indian cricketers to win "ICC Cricketer of the Year" award. The same year, he became the second all-rounder from India who has achieved a double of 500 runs and 50 wickets.
• In 2014, he received the honorary Arjuna Award by the Government of India for his astounding contribution to the sport.
• BCCI honored him with "Polly Umrigar" award as "International Cricketer of the Year" 2012.
• Ashwin is the 7th Indian bowler to take 5 wicket hauls in his debut Test match in 2011.
