Born on 19 October 1984, Ramesh Sartape was the captain of the Indian Wheelchair Cricket Team (Divyang Cricket Control Board). He started his wheelchair cricket career in 2016 and watching his excellent performance, the board declared him the captain of the team in 2018 after which he along with his team, has won several series and trophies. Ramesh is also playing a vital role as a Secretary of the Divyang Cricket Control Board of India.
Some of his major career achievements:
- 2016 - Played in the India vs. Nepal T20 International Series where India won by 2-1 in the series
- 2017 - Part of the Indian squad in the International Triangular Series between India, Nepal & Bangladesh - India was runner up in the Series.
- 2018 - Part of the Maharashtra squad in the Indian Wheelchair Premier League held between 6 state teams. Maharashtra was the winner of the tournament. He was the captain of the Maharashtra team.
- 2019 - Played in the T20 International Series between India and Bangladesh - India won by 3-0 in the series.
