Ramesh Kumar

Ramesh Kumar was born on 15th November 1981. He is an Indian wrestler who belongs to Haryana.

His Achievements:-

• Bagged a silver medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships of 2001, held in Ulan Bator
• Clinched a gold medal at the 2001 World Junior Wrestling Championships, held in Tashkent.
• Earned a gold medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, held in Manchester.
• Roped in gold and a bronze medal at the 2005 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships held in Cape Town.
• Won a bronze medal at the Asian Wrestling Championships of 2005, held in Wuhan
• Another bronze at the 2009 Asian Wrestling Championships was held in Pattaya.
• In 2009, he defeated Alexandr Burca of Moldova at the FILA (International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles) Wrestling World Championships that took place at Herning in Denmark, capturing India's first bronze medal at the same.
