Nikhat Zareen

Nikhat Zareen, born on June 14, 1996, in Nizamabad, Telangana, India, is a rising star in the world of boxing. From a young age, Zareen displayed a natural aptitude for the sport, honing her skills under the guidance of dedicated coaches. Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she clinched a gold medal at the AIBA Women's Junior and Youth World Championships. Since then, Zareen has continued to make waves, representing India at prestigious international tournaments and securing multiple national titles. Beyond the ring, she advocates for gender equality in sports and serves as an inspiration to aspiring athletes across the globe.

Major Achievements:-

• Entitled as the 'Golden Best Boxer' at the Erode Nationals event in 2010
• Bagged gold medal at the Women's Junior/Youth Championship of 2011, held in Turkey
• Credited a silver medal with her power-pack performance at the Youth World Championship of 2014, held in Bulgaria. The same year, she won a gold medal at the Third Nations Cup, held in Serbia by defeating Russian boxer Paltceva Ekaterina.
• Nikhat was appointed as the official ambassador of her hometown Nizamabad, Telangana in 2014.
• Entitled as the 'Best Boxer' in the All India Inter-University Boxing Championship of 2015. The same year, she also bagged a gold medal in the 16th Senior Woman National Boxing Championship.
• In 2019, Nikhat won a silver medal in the 2nd India Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati.
• Nikhat won a silver medal at the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament 2019 held in Bangkok.
