Nicole Melichar

Born in the Czech Republic, Nicole Melichar is a professional tennis player from the United States who has specialized playing in doubles and won ten doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as four singles and seven doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. She is currently ranked World No. 09 in doubles (as of May 2021) by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). Melichar reached her career-high doubles top ranking of world No. 09 on 17 May 2021.

Here are some of her career major achievements

• Bagged her only WTA 125K series title at the 2016 San Antonio Open with her compatriot Anna-Lena Grönefeld.
• With Austrian partner Alexander Peya, Melichar has won the mixed-doubles crown at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships, her only Grand Slam title.
• Melichar is also a two-time Grand Slam finalist in women's doubles, finishing as runner-up at the 2018 Wimbledon Championships with Květa Peschke and the 2020 US Open with Xu Yifan.
• With her compatriot Květa Peschke, Melichar has won five WTA doubles titles, including the 2018 Prague Open, 2018 Tianjin Open, 2019 Brisbane International, 2019 Silicon Valley Classic and 2019 Zhengzhou Open.
• Bagged her only WTA doubles title with Xu Yifan in 2020 Adelaide International.
• With Demi Schuurs, Melichar has won three WTA doubles title, including the 2020 Internationaux de Strasbourg, 2021 Qatar Total Open and 2021 Charleston Open.
