Muttiah Muralitharan, born on April 17, 1972, in Kandy, Sri Lanka, is one of cricket's greatest spin bowlers. Muralitharan holds the record for the most wickets taken in both Test and One Day International cricket. Despite facing controversies over his bowling action, he proved his excellence with consistent performances.
