Moeen Ali

Born on 18 June 1987 in Birmingham, England; Moeen Munir Ali is English batting all-rounder with his left-handed batting and right arm off-spin bowling potentials. Ali represents the nation in all formats of the game and plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. 

Major Achievements:-

• Made his first-class debut in 2005 against the Cambridge University and scored an unbeaten 57 in his only innings.
• Received the Warwickshire's NBC Denis Compton Award in 2004 as well as 2005.
• Made the Captain of the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He scored three 50s in the tournament along with taking 7 wickets.
• Won the Worcestershire's NBC Denis Compton Award in 2009.
• Honoured with the Most Valuable Player award in the County Cricket season 2013.
• Named amongst the Cricketers of the Year in the Wisden Cricketers' Almanack and was also nominated for the Best at Sport award at the British Muslim Awards in 2015.
• During a 2016 T20 World Cup match against Afghanistan, Ali set the record of the highest partnership with David Willey for the 8th wicket in the T20 World Cup history (57*).
