Mitsuo Tsukahara

Mitsuo Tsukahara was born on December 22, 1947. He is a Former Japanese Artistic Gymnast who remained active in the sport even after retirement from the competition as Vice President of the Japan Gymnastic Association.

His Achievements:-

• Bagged a gold medal at the Olympic Games 1968, held in Mexico City
• Won two gold in team and vault and two silver medals in All-around and Rings at the World Championships of 1970, held in Ljubljana
• Won two gold medals and one bronze medal at the Olympic Games 1972, held in Munich.
• Earned a gold medal at the 1974 World Championship, held at Varna
• Won two golds in Team and horizontal bar, one silver in Vault and two bronze medals in All-around and parallel bars at the 1976 Olympic Games, held in Montreal.
• Earned a gold medal at the 1977 American Cup, held in New York.
• Won a gold medal at the 1978 World Championships, held in Strasbourg.
