Marlen Esparza

Born on 29^th July 1989, Marlen Esparza created a history by becoming the first American woman to qualify for 2012 Olympics portraying her sense of commitment towards boxing.

A glimpse of her achievements:-

• In 2006, she bagged a Bronze medal in "Women’s World Boxing Championship."
• In 2012 London Olympics, she gave a prolific performance in women’s flyweight division and brought home a bronze medal.
• Esparza secured a gold medal in "Jeju World Championship" of 2014 in the flyweight division.
• In “AIBA Women’s World Championship” of 2016, she earned a Bronze medal for her country.
• Esparza was elected the "Houston Fighter of the Year" for five consecutive years from 2010 to 2014.
