Manish Krishnanand Pandey

Born on 10 September 1989, Manish Pandey is an Indian cricketer who is a right-handed middle-order batsman playing for Karnataka in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL). After his century in the second season of the Indian Premier League (2009) for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he became the first Indian to hit a century in the tournament. Manish got the opportunity in the Indian Cricket team in an ODI against Zimbabwe on 14 July 2015 where he scored 71 runs in his debut match. He is one of the most stylish yet unorthodox batsmen in the current circuit.

Some of his major career achievements:

• Part of the Indian squad that won the Under-19 World Cup under the captaincy of Virat Kohli in 2008
• Became the first Indian player to score an IPL century in the 2009 IPL semifinals, he scored 114 off 73 balls against Deccan Chargers
• Scored 882 runs (four centuries and five fifties) for Karnataka in 2009-10 Ranji season to become the highest run-scorer for the season
• Kolkata Knight Riders picked him for the 2014 IPL season where he played a match-winning knock of 94 runs in the IPL final against Kings XI Punjab and selected as the Man of the Match.
• In 2016, India was chasing 331 runs against Australia where he scored an unbeaten 104 runs inning that brought the team to the victory.
