A two-time World Champion, an Olympic medalist with two European titles, Majlinda Kelmendi, is a Kosovar-Albanian judoka born on 9th May 1991.
Her achievements:-
- Bestowed with the “Presidential Medal of Merit” by President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga.
- Clinched gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics in 52 kg.
- Gold medalist at the 2016 and 2014 World Championships held in Rio and Chelyabinsk, respectively.
- Won two gold medals each at the 2014 and 2016 European Championship held in Montpellier and Kazan, respectively.
