Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Born on 7^th July 1981 at Ranchi, India, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the greatest Indian captains and an excellent finisher of the game, well known for his helicopter shot.

• He received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by the Government of India in 2008.
• Dhoni is the only cricketer to win "ICC ODI Player of the Year" for 2 consecutive years in 2008 and 2009.
• He is the only wicket-keeper to score 4000 runs in Test Cricket.
• Dhoni holds the record for scoring the fastest century by an Indian wicketkeeper.
• In 2011, Dhoni received the honorary doctorate degree given by De Montfort University, England.
• In 2011, he was given the honorary rank of Lt. Colonel by Indian Army.
• He is the most successful Indian captain who has made India win 27 Tests and 110 ODIs.
