Lindsey Caroline Vonn

Born on 18th October 1984, Lindsey Caroline Vonn is an American Ski Racer.

Her Achievements:-

• At the Winter Olympics of 2010 that was held in Canada, Vonn won a gold medal in downhill event.
• Received the "Laureus Sportswoman of the Year" award in the year 2010.
• Became the United States Olympic Committee's "Sportswoman of the Year" in 2010.
• Secured Silver in both downhill and Super-G at the World Championships of 2007 in Åre, Sweden.
• In the year 2008, she won the World Cup title.
• Became the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in Downhill at the Vancouver Games that took place in 2010.
• Clinched a silver medal in Downhill event at the World Championships that was held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany in the year 2011.
• Honored with the "Best U.S. Female Olympian ESPY (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly) Award" in the year 2010.
