Laurie Hernandez, born on June 9, 2000, is an American gymnast who captured hearts worldwide with her dazzling performances and infectious charisma. Raised in New Jersey, her gymnastics journey began at an early age. In 2016, she became a household name after winning a gold medal with the U.S. women's gymnastics team at the Rio Olympics. Her individual achievements include a silver medal on the balance beam at the same Games.
