Lauren Mitchell

Lauren Mitchell is an Australian artistic gymnast born on July 23, 1991, in Subiaco, Western Australia. She is the first Australian woman gymnast to earn a gold medal in the World Championship.

A glimpse of her achievements:-

• She won gold at the 2008 Madrid World Cup final by giving an eye-catching performance on the Balance Beam.
• Lauren won two Silver medals at the 2009 London World Championship for floor exercises and Balance beam.
• She bagged gold medal at the 2010 Rotterdam World Championship for floor exercise.
• Lauren achieved three gold medals at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games by performing on the uneven bars and balance beam and in a team event.
• She won silver at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games for floor exercise.
• Lauren secured two silver medals at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games one for floor exercise and one as a team.
