Krishnan Sasikiran

Born on 7th January 1981, Krishnan Sasikiran is an Indian chess Grandmaster who assists one of the legendary chess player of India, Viswanathan Anand at the World Chess Championship of 2013.

His Achievements:-

• Won an individual silver medal on board three, at the 2014 Chess Olympiad, held in Norway.
• Won the 2011 Asian Blitz Chess Championship, held in Mashhad.
• A bronze medal at the Asian Games of 2010, held in Guangzhou.
• Ranked at number 21 in the 2007 World Chess Federation list.
• A gold medal at the Asian Games of 2006 held in Doha.
• Won the Hastings International Chess tournament of 2001, held in England.
• Won the Asian Junior Chess Championship of 1999, held in Vietnam.
• Four times winner of Indian Chess Championship of 1999, 2002, 2003 and 2013, held in Nagpur in 1999 and 2002, Mumbai and Jalgaon, respectively.
