Katie Taylor

Born on 2nd July 1986, Katie Taylor is a prominent sportswoman from Ireland who formerly played football and is now representing the nation at international boxing events.

Major Achievements:-

• In 2005, Taylor won a gold medal at the European Amateur Championship in Tonsberg, Norway.
• Won the European Championship title in boxing for the third time in the year 2007.
• In August 2008 in Liverpool, England, Katie won her first European Union Gold medal.
• At the Women's World Boxing Championship, Katie held her second-ever World title in 2008.
• Bagged a gold medal in the lightweight category at the 2012 London Olympics.
• Bagged gold medals in the lightweight category at the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championship as well as the European Amateur Boxing Championship of 2014.
• Dominated the lightweight category at the European Games boxing event in 2015.
