Katherine Helen Brunt

Katherine Helen Brunt is an aggressive right-arm fast bowler, born on 2^nd July 1985 in Barnsley, Yorkshire. She is an English cricketer and also the member of the current women’s team of England.

Katherine has won numerous accolades amongst which some are listed as under:

• Took 14 wickets and scored her maiden half-century in the Ashes in 2005 where England won the series
• Named "England Women’s Cricketer of the Year" in 2006, 2010 and 2012-13
• Awarded with the "Woman of the Match" in the 2009 T20 World Championship final where she took 3 wickets for 6 runs in her 4 over opening spell. The match was held at Lords.
• Took a career-best 6 for 69 in the one off Ashes Test in 2009
• Made England win against Australia in the final of the NatWest Quadrangular Series of 2011 by taking 5 wickets in just 18 balls bowled
• She is the holder of one of the first 18 ECB central contracts for female players, announced in April 2014.
• She was a member of the winning England women's team at the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup.
• Katherine was awarded a full central contract by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in February 2019 for the 2019 season.
• Brunt took her 150th wicket in WODI matches in the opening match of England's series against Pakistan in Malaysia in December 2019.
• She was named in England's squad for the 2020 ICC Women's T20 World Cup in Australia in January 2020.
