Born on December 3, 1965 in East Germany, Katarina Witt is a retired figure skater. She is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a four-time World Champion. Katarina has also won European Championship six times in a row from 1983 to 1988. Such a cheered record makes her one of the most successful figure skaters of all time.
Her Achievements:-
- Won gold medal twice at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, held at Sarajevo and Calgary, respectively.
- Secured four gold and two silver medals at the World Championships, held from 1982 to 1988.
- Winner of one silver and six gold medals at the European Championships, held from 1982 to 1988.
