Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah was born on 6th December 1993. He is a Cricketer from Gujarat who plays for the Indian cricket team. He is a right-arm fast bowler who contributes his immaculate efforts to the Indian national team at international matches.

His Achievements:-

• In his T-20 debut against Maharashtra in the season 2012-13 of Mohit Kumar Trophy, he was instrumental in the win and also won the "Man of the Match" award.
• In his debut IPL (Indian Premiere League) match for Mumbai Indians in 2013, he took three wickets for 32 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore, held in Bangalore.
• Holds the record for the maximum number of wickets(28) taken in Twenty20 International in the calendar year 2016.
• Bumrah is the first Asian Bowler to take 5 wickets hauls in England, South Africa and Australia in a Test innings in the same calendar year.
• Bumrah is the third-highest wicket-taker in test matches in his debut year with 48 wickets in 8 matches.
• On August 2016, Bumrah became the bowler to claim most-wickets (28) in one calendar year in a T20I series against West Indies surpassing the record of Dirk Nannes.
• Bumrah concluded the Test series against Australia as the highest wicket-taker, with 21 wickets at the Boxing Day Test of India Tour of Australia 2018.
• He ended 2018 with 48 wickets, which was a record for an Indian bowler in his debut year in the Test cricket.
• ICC named him as one of The Five Exciting Talents making their Cricket World Cup debut in 2019.
• In the match against Sri Lanka on 6 July 2019, he took his 100th wicket in ODIs and became the second-fastest Indian bowler to achieve this feat after Mohammad Shami.
• Bumrah took his 4^th Test five-wicket haul on August 2019 against the West Indies in the first Test match of India tour of West Indies 2019. He also became the third bowler for India to take a hat-trick in this test series.
