Jason Omar Holder

Born on 05th November 1991, Jason Holder is the current Test captain of the West Indies cricket team and former ODI captain. Holder is an all-rounder cricketer with right-handed batting and right-arm medium-fast bowling. Holder made his ODI debut against Australia in February 2013, T20I debut against New Zealand in January 2014 and Test debut against New Zealand in June 2014.

In domestic career, he made his IPL debut with Chennai Super Kings in 2013 and later played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders in other seasons of IPL. He is currently a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad for IPL 2020 season. In 2019, Holder was signed by Northamptonshire County Cricket Club for the 2019 County Season. Barbados Tridents selected him in their squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier League.

His Achievements:-

• Selected as the ODI captain of the West Indies national team in 2015 and became the youngest ever West Indian captain.
• Holder is also the second youngest test captain of all time for the West Indies and 15th youngest for any Test nation.
• In 2018, he became the fastest player for the West Indies to score 1,000 runs and take 100 wickets in ODIs.
• In the 2019 Cricket World Cup, Holder played in his 100th ODI match for the West Indies.
• Holder clinched the top spot in the official ICC Test rankings as the number one all-rounder in the world in 2019; the same year, he was also named as the Test Player of the Year by Cricket West Indies (CWI).
