Born on 7th December 1972, Hermann Maier is an Austrian Alpine Ski racer, regarded as one of the greatest ski racers of the world with two Olympic gold medals, three World Championships and four World Cup titles.
His Achievements:-
- Won two gold medals at the 1998 Winter Olympics, held in Nagano
- Gained a silver medal and a bronze medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics, held in Turin
- Bagged two gold medals at the 1999 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, held in Vail and one gold medal at the 2005 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, held in Bormio.
- Won a silver medal at the 2001 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and another silver medal in the year 2003 in the same event that took place in St. Anton and St. Moritz resorts, respectively.
