Graeme Smith

On 1 February 1981, Graeme Smith was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He is one of the most prolific former cricketers and captains of South African cricket team.

Here are some of his career achievements:-

•  As a non-wicketkeeper, Smith holds the world record by taking about 82 catches in the test match wins
• In a test match wins, as a captain; he holds the most number of centuries i.e. 15
• Considered the fastest South African cricketer to reach 1000 test runs
• As a captain, he played 108 matches in Test series, 149 in ODI and 27 in T20
• For Western Province, Smith has played seventeen matches scoring 1,312 runs which nearly equal to 4 centuries
• In his 112th test match, Graeme became 2nd South African and overall, the 12th batsman to complete 9,000 runs in Test cricket
