Glenn Maxwell

Born on 14th October 1988, Glenn James Maxwell is a well-known cricketer who represents Australia in One Day International and Twenty 20 International events. Currently, he plays for Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League.

His achievements:-

• Scored 50 runs in just 19 balls, thus creating a record for the fastest 50 in domestic cricket. He achieved this feat in the match against Tasmania, held in Melbourne in the year 2011
• He was the most expensive player in 2013 IPL auctions (1 million USD)
• First batsman to hit a ton in his T20 debut as an opener
• Maxwell has scored the fastest ODI World Cup century for Australia against Sri Lanka in 2015 World Cup which is also the second-fastest century in the World Cup cricket
• Honoured with the Allan Border Medal for being the Australian Men’s T20I Player of the Year in 2015 & 2019, same honour he also got for Australian Men’s ODI Player of the Year in 2016
• Maxwell scored 145 runs in 65 balls which were the second-highest scores in the history of T20 International events. In the Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka, held in 2016. He was given the title of "Man of the Match"
• In 2016, Glenn received the "Man of the Series Award" after winning the T20 match against Sri Lanka on their soil. Besides this, he also won the "Player of the Series Award"
• Maxwell is the 2nd Australian batsman to hit centuries in all formats of cricket at the international level
