Gerd Kanter

Born on 6th May 1979 in Tallinn, Gerd Kanter is an Estonian discus thrower who has earned a place in the history of athletics through his sturdy performances in various international competitions.

His Achievements:

• One gold and a silver medal at the Olympic Games of 2008 and 2012, respectively.
• One gold, two silver and two bronze medals earned in five World Championships, held in 2007, 2005, 2011, 2009 and 2013.
• Earned three silver and one bronze at the European Championships, held in 2006, 2012, 2014 and 2016, respectively.
• One gold medal at the Continental Cup of 2014, held in Marrakech.
• One gold medal at the European Cup Winter Throwing competition of the year 2008, held in Split.
• One gold medal at the Universiade of 2005, held in İzmir.
