Frederick John 'Fred' Perry

Fred Perry was a legendary tennis player from England. Born on May 18, 1909, he became one of the greatest players of his time. Perry won many major championships, including Wimbledon, the US Open, and the French Open. His powerful playing style and strategic skills on the court earned him admiration worldwide. Perry was the first player to win all four Grand Slam singles titles, a remarkable achievement. Beyond tennis, he was also known for his fashion sense and later founded a popular clothing brand. His Achievements:-

• Bagged a silver medal in doubles and bronze medal in mixed doubles at the 1928 World  table tennis Championship held in Stockholm
• Won a gold medal in singles and a bronze medal in doubles at the 1929 World table tennis Championship, held in Budapest
• Inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island in 1975
