Florence Delorez Griffith Joyner was born on 21st December 1959. She was a track and field athlete from America and is regarded as the fastest woman of all times.
Her achievements:-
- Earned a silver medal in 200m event at the 1984 Summer Olympics, held in Los Angeles
- Bagged a gold medal in the 4x100m and a silver medal in 200m event at the World Championships in 1987, held in Rome
- Bagged three gold medals in the 1988 Summer Olympics in 100m, 200m, and 4x100m events, held in Seoul
- Also, won a silver medal in 1988 Summer Olympics in 4x400 m, held in Seoul
- Her name was inducted into the USA Track & Field Hall of Fame in the year 1995.
