Flo Hyman

Flora Jean "Flo" Hyman was born on 31^st July 1954. She was an athlete from America who played professional volleyball in Japan.

Her Achievements:-

• Won the AIAW National Player of the Year award in 1976.
• Bagged a bronze medal at the 1982 World Championship, held in Peru.
• Bagged a silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games, held in Los Angeles.
• Ranked 69 in the list "The Greatest Woman Athletes of the Century" in 1999 by Sports Illustrated.
• Won the Best Hitter title at the World Cup Competition in 1981, held in Osaka, Japan.
• The Flo Hyman Memorial Award has been named in her honour.
