Francina "Fanny" Elsje Blankers-Koen was born on 26th April 1918. She was a Dutch athlete.
Her Achievements:-
- Secured bronze medals at the 1938 European Championships in 100m and 200m held in Vienna.
- Won gold medals at the 1946 European Championships, held in Oslo in 80m hurdles and 4x100 m relay.
- Bagged gold medals at the 1948 Summer Olympic Games in 100m, 200m, 80m hurdles and 4x100 m relay, held in London.
- Earned three gold medals at the 1950 European Championships in 100m, 200m and 80m hurdles and a silver medal in 4x100 m relay, held in Brussels.
