Faf du Plessis is a South African Cricketer and former Captain of the South African team. He has been consistently doing well for his team over the years and has a decorated career with many records as a captain and as a batsman. A right-handed middle-order batsman and part-time leg-spinner made his ODI debut against India in 2011. His Test debut came in 2012, where he became the fourth South African to score a Test century on his debut. He was later named South Africa's T20 captain for the following T20 series against New Zealand and was confirmed full-time skipper in 2013. Plessis assumed Test captaincy in 2016 and took full-time captaincy in all formats of the game in 2017. He has played domestic cricket for the Northerns and the Titans, as well as for Lancashire, Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiants and currently playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League.
