Deepak Chahar is a Right-Arm Medium Bowler from Agra, Uttar Pradesh. After a brilliant performance in the 2018 Syed Mushtaq-Ali Trophy, he was selected by the Chennai franchise for the Indian Premier League. He was included in the India A team for the tri-series against West Indies A and England Lions due to his commendable performance in the IPL. Deepak concluded as the highest wicket-taker in that series and later proved his mettle. His hard work paid off when the international call came in 2018 after Jasprit Bumrah was injured. He made his T20I debut against England on 8 July 2018. Deepak was then selected in the T20I squad for the 2019 tour of the West Indies. During India's tour of Bangladesh in 2019, Chahar showed superb form in the T20I decider match in Nagpur where he became the first Indian male bowler to take a hat-trick in T20I format and also finished with extraordinary bowling figures of 3.2-0-7-6. This is the best figures by any bowler in the T20I format.
