Born in Durban to a South African father Warren Bradley Green, and British mother Lisa Green, both professional tennis players, Chris Green is a South Africa born British Australian all-rounder cricketer. He is primarily an off-spinner and a powerful batsman too. Chris holds a British passport but moved to Australia for his father’s work.
He plays domestic cricket in Australia for New South Wales and also a part of the Sydney Thunder team in BBL (Big Bash League). He also plays for Manly Warringah District Cricket Club in the Sydney Grade Cricket competition. He has also played in PSL (Pakistan Super League) for Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars teams. For the 2019 Global T20 Canada tournament, he was chosen by the Toronto Nationals team. For the 2020 season of the IPL (Indian Premier League), he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders.
Apart from cricket, he has played college-level tennis in the United States as he has that sport in his blood.
