Carl Lewis

Frederick Carlton "Carl" Lewis is a former track and field athlete from America who was born on 1^st July 1961.

Here are few of his achievements:-

• He earned 10 Olympic medals in athletics out of which nine are gold medals
• Lewis is the only athlete to defend long jump title in the Olympics
• He set world records in the 4 × 200 m, 100 m, and 4 × 100 m categories
• He is one of those three Olympic athletes who have won 4 gold medals in a single event
• Lewis was honored as the "Sportsman of the Century" in the year 1999 by International Olympic Committee
• In the year 2016, Texas Track and Field Coaches Association inducted him in the hall of fame
