Bobby Charlton

Sir Robert "Bobby" Charlton was born on 11th October 1937. He is a former professional football player from England. He is regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all times.

His Achievements:-

• Won the FWA Footballer of the Year award in 1965-66.
• Received the FIFA World Cup Golden Ball in the year 1966.
• Honored with the Ballon d'Or in 1966.
• Awarded the PFA Merit Award in the year 1974.
• Named in the FIFA World Cup All-Time Team in the year 1994.
• Named in the Football League 100 Legends in the year 1998.
• Inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame in the year 2000.
• Awarded the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
• Received the Laureus Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
