Avtandil Tchrikishvili

Born on 18th March 1991, Norio, Gardabani, Avtandil Tchrikishvili is a prominent judoka from Georgia who has been ranked as the No.1 judoka in the world on 6th June 2016.

Here are some of his career achievements:

• Gold medal at the European Games of 2015, held in Baku
• Silver and gold medal at the World Championships of 2013 (Rio de Janeiro) and 2014 (Chelyabinsk), respectively
• Three gold and one silver medal (in 81 kg category) earned in the European Championships of 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016
• At the Teams World Championships, Avtandil won a gold and two bronze medals in the year 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively.
• Avtandil was a part of the team that earned a bronze, a silver and four gold medals at the Teams European Championships held from 2011 to 2016.
• In 2014, he was entitled as the Best Georgian Sportsman by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia.
