Born on 30th June 1989, Asbel Kiprop is a much-publicized middle-distance runner from Kenya. He predominantly participates in the 1500 meters.

- 2007- Asbel won a gold medal in 1500m category at the All-Africa Games as well as at the IAAF World Cross Country Junior Championship.
- 2008- Kiprop won a gold medal in the 1500m category at the Summer Olympics and a bronze medal at the African Championships in 800 m category.

- Kiprop has won three World Championship titles in the year 2011, 2013 & 2015.
