Aparna Balan

Born on 09 August 1986, Aparna Balan is an international badminton player from India who is currently a part of women's and mixed doubles team. Aparna has represented India in various national and international badminton tournaments and she is six-time National Champion in mixed doubles and three-time National Champion in women's doubles. 

Here are some of his career achievements:

• Claimed a bronze medal in girls' team event at 2002 Asian Junior Championships.
• Secured a gold medal in the women's team event at 2004 South Asian Games.
• Bagged two silver medals in women's and mixed doubles event at 2006 South Asian Games.
• Aparna won a gold medal in women's doubles with Shruti Kurien and silver with Sanave Thomas at 2010 South Asian Games.
• Earned a silver medal in the mixed team event at 2010 Commonwealth Games.
• In 2009, Aparna won a gold medal in the mixed doubles event with Arun Vishnu at Syed Modi India Open and a silver medal with Shruti Kurien at Australian Open.
• Clinched a bronze medal in women's team event at 2014 Uber Cup.
• Bagged a gold medal women's doubles with Prajakta Sawant at 2014 Tata Open India International.
• In the mixed doubles team with Arun Vishnu, Aparna bagged three gold medals at 2008 & 2013 Bahrain International and 2015 Sri Lanka International, and four silver medals at 2009 Spanish Open, 2010 Tata Open India International, 2011 Maldives International & 2015 Tata Open India International.
• In the women's doubles team with Sruthi K.P, Aparna claimed two gold medals at 2017 & 2018 Nepal International and a silver medal at 2018 Bangladesh International.
