Anky van Grunsven

Anky van Grunsven, born on January 2, 1968, in Erp, Netherlands, is a famous Dutch horse rider and dressage champion. She's known for her incredible success in the sport, winning multiple Olympic medals, including three individual golds from 2000 to 2008, riding her horse, Salinero. Anky's creative approach to dressage and her strong bond with her horses have made her a standout in the equestrian world. Beyond her victories, she's a dedicated coach and supporter of horse riding, leaving a lasting impact as one of the sport's greatest athletes.

The lady has earned numerous accolades in the sport amongst which some are listed here:-

• Winner of three gold (Individual Dressage), five silver (in a team  as well as individual event) and a bronze medal in team at the Olympics, held in between 1992-2012
• Secured two gold and five silver medals at the FEI World Equestrian Games, held in 1994, 1998 and 2006, respectively
• Bagged Five gold, eight silver and three bronze medals at the European Equestrian Championships, held in between 1991-2015
• Won nine gold, one silver and one bronze medal in individual dressage event at the Reem Acra FEI World Cup dressage competition, held in between 1995-2009
• Entitled as "Dutch Sportswoman of the Year" in 1994 and received the "Jaap Eden Award"
• She has been chosen as the Flagbearer for Netherlands at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
