Amanda Beard also known by her married name Amanda Brown is an American swimmer, born on 29th October 1981. The lady has added numerous feathers in her cap by being a seven-time Olympic medalist and is also a former world record holder in 200 meter backstroke (long course).
His Achievements:-
- Her clover has made her win the "American Swimmer of the Year" title twice.
- Won two gold medals each in 4x100 medley and 200m breaststroke at the 1996 and 2004 Olympics, respectively; both the events were held in Athens.
- Roped in two silver medals each for 100m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke events at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
- Winner of two silver medals each for 200m medley and 4X100m medley at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
- Earned bronze in 200m breaststroke event at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
- Won gold and two silver medals at the 2003 World Championships (LC), held in Barcelona.
- Clinched two silver medals at the 2004 World Championships (SC), held in Indianapolis.
