Adhemar Ferreira da Silva was born on 29th September 1927. He was a triple jumper from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
His Achievements:-
- Bagged a gold medal at the Pan American Games in 1951, held in Buenos Aires
- Won a gold medal at the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympic Games, held in Helsinki and Melbourne respectively
- Secured gold medals at the 1955 and 1959 Pan American Games, held in Mexico City and Chicago respectively
- Earned a gold medal at the 1955 World Student Games in triple jump, held in San Sebastian, Spain
- Inducted into the IAAF Hall of Fame in the year 2012
