Stephanie Gilmore

Stephanie Gilmore, born on January 29, 1988, is a really good surfer from Australia. She's one of the best female surfers ever. She's won a bunch of big surfing championships, showing everyone how awesome she is on the waves. Stephanie is from New South Wales, and her surfing style is smooth and cool. Besides being a great surfer, she cares about the environment. She talks about and supports things that help our planet. Stephanie Gilmore isn't just a surfing champ; she's also someone who wants to make a positive difference, making her respected not only in surfing but also for caring about our world.

• Bestowed with the title of "Laureus World Action Sportsperson of the year" award in 2010 and was inducted into the Surfer’s Hall of Fame
