Gregory Efthimios Louganis

Born on 29th January 1960, Greg Louganis is an American diver. He is also a LGBT activist and a successful author. Greg Louganis has achieved numerous accolades in his professional diving career.

Here are some of his great achievements:-

• Recipient of James E Sullivan Award in 1984
• He is the only male diver to win consecutive Gold medals at Olympic Games of 1984 and 1988 in the 3m springboard and 10m platform events
• Gold Medalist in 10m Platform event at the World Championships in 1978, 1982 and 1986
• Gold Medalist in 3m Springboard event at the World Championships in 1982 and 1986
• Gold Medalist in 10m Platform and 3m springboard event at the Pan American Games in 1979, 1983 and 1987
