Šárka Strachová

Šárka Strachová, born on 11 February 1985, is a World Cup alpine ski racer from the Czech Republic who specializes in the discipline of slalom. She is the first Czech alpine skier to medal at the World Championships and the Winter Olympics and the second alpine skier ever from the Czech Republic to medal in the Olympics.

• Earned a gold medal in 2005 and two bronze medals in 2004 at the World Junior Alpine Skiing Championships
• Clinched a bronze medal at the 2005 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships
• Bagged a gold medal at the 2007 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships
• Won a bronze medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics
• Claimed a silver medal at the 2009 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships
• Earned a bronze medal at the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships
