Valtteri Viktor Bottas

Born on 28^th August 1989, Finnish racing driver Valteri Bottas is currently a part of the Mercedes team in Formula One. He made his F1 debut with Williams in 2013 and continued racing for them until 2016. After the retirement of Nico Rosberg, he joined Mercedes and then from 2017 to 2020, he has won eight races for them.

Some of his major career achievements:

• Finished 8th in the 2005 Karting World Cup by using Gillard chassis and Parilla engines for the P.D.B. Racing Team.
• Bagged the title of 2007 Formula Renault UK Winter Series.
• Became the Champion of both - 2008 Formula Renault Eurocup and the 2008 Formula Renault Northern European Cup.
• Winner of the 2009 Masters of Formula 3 where he claimed the pole position and set the fastest lap of the race. He repeated the feat in 2010 and became the first driver to win the F3 Masters title for the second time.
• Bagged the title of 2011 GP3 Series.
• Finished 8th at the 2013 United States Grand Prix for Williams team.
• Concluded in the 4th position overall at the 2014 Drivers’ Championship (FIA Formula One World Championship).
• Claimed 3rd place at the 2016 Canadian Grand Prix.
• Concluded the 2017 Australian Grand Prix with 3rd place for Mercedes, behind Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton.
• Winner of the 2017 Russian Grand Prix.
• Finished 2nd in the 2019 Bahrain Grand Prix and 2019 Spanish Grand Prix
• Took part in the 2019 Arctic Rally where he made a stage win and finished 5th overall in such event.
• In 2020 Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, he set the fastest time in pre-season testing.
• Winner of the 2020 Austrian Grand Prix.
• Finished 3rd at the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix and 2020 Spanish Grand Prix.
